Easy Low Calorie Dinner Preparations

Cooking for the family is very satisfying. But, after a day of running around, driving, doing household chores and also meeting professional deliverables, making dinner is the last thing you want to do.

Ordering in a pizza or a takeaway Chinese meal may seem tempting. Although, you can’t do that every day; it certainly hurts your financial and nutritional budget.

  4. One Pot Meal: Indian gruel ‘Khicdi’ is wholesome and delicious. Pressure cook equal amounts of white rice with red lentils with chopped carrots and peas. Temper with olive oil and cumin seeds and a hot ‘soupy’ meal is ready. You can also use a rice cooker and add your rice, lentils, and veggies and let it simmer while you unwind after a hard day.

  5. Breakfast at night: Why not? Make yourself oatmeal porridge with raisins and almonds and eat hot. Or have a bowl of low fat yogurt with muesli along with a banana and few prunes. A multi grain boiled egg or cottage cheese sandwich with a raw veggies bowl is a wholesome dinner.
